Dr. Angela Fields Walker
Angela Walker, M.D. is a Dallas native, born at Medical City and raised in Richardson, Texas. She graduated from Berkner High School and then Texas A&M University with Magna Cum Laude honors in Biomedical Science. Following her passion for women’s health, Dr. Walker earned her Doctorate of Medicine in 2005 at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She completed her residency program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Hospital where she received the Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Intern in 2006, and was elected by her peers and faculty as Administrative Chief Resident during her final year.
In August 2009, Dr. Walker began private practice in Dallas, and joined Vernon & Waldrep Ob/Gyn Associates in April 2014.
Dr. Walker is particularly focused on routine and high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, robotic and laparoscopic surgery, as well as adolescent and young adult medicine. She enjoys connecting with patients as they journey through pregnancy and raise their families. When surgery is required, she helps them select the most minimally invasive procedure in order to get them back to their work and family faster. Most of all, Dr. Walker prides herself in developing lifelong relationships with her patients. She is currently the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Medical City Dallas Hospital. Dr. Walker is also a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association and The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dallas Child Magazine readers have awarded her with Mom Approved Doc numerous years in a row. She is a member of The Menopause Society and was formerly Chief of Obstetrics at Medical City Hospital.
She lives in Lakewood with her husband, Eric, an attorney at Morales Walker PLLC, and their three children. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, Zumba and pretending she can cook.
